Flag Company Donates Charity With Printed Flag For South Pole
Expedition
Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) is dedicated
to funding research to find a cure for type 1 (juvenile) diabetes,
which strikes children suddenly, makes them insulin-dependent
for life, and carries the constant threat of devastating complications.
JDRF is the leading non-profit, non-government funder of type
1 research worldwide; the only organisation totally focused on
research.
Will and Mike Cross are the first father and son team and the
first sufferers of type 1 diabetes to complete the 700 mile trek
across the Antarctic. On the 17th January 2003 the Ultimate Walk
to Cure Diabetes team of Will, Mike, Jerry Petersen and Bret Goodpaster
reached the South Pole! Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation
and Diabetes UK are the joint beneficiaries of the money raised
through this venture.
